Bonjour from Bonheur!

Welcome to Bonheur, my personal journal documenting my journey toward leading a more balanced healthy, happy and conscious lifestyle.  And thank you for taking the time to read even this far! In terms of what makes healthy, happy and conscious, my personal take on the terms I’ll detail for you below:

Healthy to me means a properly nurtured mind, body and spirit.  In essence, it is good nutrition and physical fitness, as well as time dedicated to self care, learning and spiritual practice where appropriate.

I feel happiness manifests an attitude of confidence, positivity, gratitude and love for yourself and others.  It is being able to appreciate the smallest blessings, even in the most challenging circumstances.

Cultivating consciousness is committing to fostering an awareness of the physical, environmental and emotional impact your own attitudes and choices have on people and the wider natural world around you.

This time last year I was the healthiest I’ve been physically in nearly two decades. However I was simultaneously feeling the least happy, and generally a touch lost and lacking.  Gratefully I can say I am now in a space where I am feeling the more happy and conscious than I probably ever have before.  Unfortunately the physical health side has sort of slid off the radar somewhat whilst I focused on all the inner work necessary! So now begins the search for the elusive ‘Holy Grail’ that is a good balance of all three at once!  I’m going to try out lots of happy, healthy and conscious new habits and products.  I’ll share all the trails and successes here for any other striving souls who want to follow along ❤
